The program isn't meant as an escape from everyday life, but as a calm, guided process that returns rhythm to the body through Ayurvedic therapies, warm food, nature and individual attention.
People today often don't come because they have one simple problem.
The body needs rhythm, warmth, silence, touch, nature and someone who knows how to follow the process.
Founder of Detox Croatia, Ayurvedic practitioner and specialist in Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis.
For more than 15 years he has worked with individual consultations, Panchakarma programs and guided detox retreats. He studied Ayurveda for five years through a four-year course and an additional year of clinical practice, in a program connected to Middlesex University of London and the College of Ayurveda. After that, he continued deepening his knowledge in Ayurvedic clinics and institutions in India and Europe.
In his work he brings calm, precision and strong intuition. His approach isn’t the mechanical application of protocols, but careful reading of the person, their pulse, energy, digestion, nervous system and current capacity. He leads the program so that the process is not forced, but guided at the body’s own pace.
Medical doctor, surgical specialist and director of Rasayana Ayurveda.
Dr. Mateja Marčec is the director of Rasayana Ayurveda, an Ayurvedic centre dedicated to consultation, education and support through an individual approach. In the Detox Croatia program, her role is professional support and an additional medical framework when a clearer insight into a person’s state is needed.
As a physician and long-time associate of Rasayana Ayurveda, she connects medical understanding of the body with an interest in a holistic approach, prevention and individual work. In the program she is especially important when a person arrives with a more complex health history, medications, exhaustion or a need for additional clarity before entering a more intensive process.
Mateja brings calm rationality, medical precision and a sense of responsibility to the team. Her presence helps keep the program warm and human, yet clear, safe and professionally grounded.
Detox Croatia doesn’t operate like a large wellness system. The program is held by a small team of people who understand that deep rest doesn’t happen through therapies alone, but through rhythm, attention and presence.
Tea has more than 20 years of experience in Panchakarma and Ayurvedic therapies. Her work carries the depth of long practice, the confidence of touch and attention to detail.
In the program she brings stability, experience and therapeutic maturity. Her touch is not only technically precise, but calming, present and attuned to the phase of the process the person is in.
Aida is trained in Ayurvedic therapies, traditional Chinese medicine, Qi Gong and Flower Essence Therapy according to the Flower Essence Society system. She has more than 8 years of experience in individual work.
She brings very subtle and intuitive work to the program. Her presence is quiet, attentive and deeply sensitive to a person’s inner rhythm. She is especially good at supporting moments of quiet, relaxation and inner withdrawal.
Bogdana is an Ayurvedic therapist and yoga teacher from Rab, long connected to the practice of yoga, the body, breath and the natural rhythm of the island.
Her work has a warm, grounding, almost motherly quality. Her touch and presence help a person calm down, soften and feel safe in their own body again. In the program she is especially valued for her gentle support, movement, breathing and guiding a person back to a simple sense of presence.
Detox Croatia is built on an individual approach. The program has structure, but it isn’t the same for every person. Therapies, food, rhythm and the intensity of the process are adapted to the person’s real state at that moment.
We work with a limited number of people so each person gets enough attention, space and support.
The program isn't applied mechanically. Therapies, food and rhythm are adapted to the person's real state.
The day isn't overloaded. It's structured so the nervous system can finally let go.
Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Nasya, Swedana and other procedures are used according to need, phase and the person's capacity.
The food is simple, cooked, seasonal and adapted to digestion.
The goal isn't to feel good only at the retreat, but to know what to continue after returning.
The programs take place in some of the most beautiful locations in Croatia, most often on Rab and at Plitvice Lakes. When needed, we organise individual or smaller programs in other locations as well.
The sea, sun, the calm rhythm of the island and enough space for the body to step away from the pressure of daily life.
Forest, water, silence and winter or transitional nature that naturally supports withdrawal, warmth and renewal.
We believe in serious, calm and responsible work. That is why we do not promise quick miracles, we do not offer a substitute for medical care, and we do not claim that one program can solve everything.
What we do offer is a guided space for recovery, an individual approach, Ayurvedic therapies, warm food, a calm rhythm and the support of a team that knows how to follow the process without pressure.
Before confirming a booking, we have a short conversation to see whether this is the right moment, which date makes sense and how deep a process your body can take on now.
